The use of drones with class C identification tags C0, C1, C2, C3 and C4 will now be mandatory in the open category from 1 January 2024 (except for in-house construction).

amending certain application dates of Regulation (EU) 2019/947:

Drones without a class identification label can be used in the “restricted” open category in accordance with Article 22 of Regulation 2019/947 until 31 December 2023.
